STEAM for All Volunteer Service Award (SVSA)

STEAM for All is excited to announce the new STEAM for All Volunteer Service Award for the 2025-2026 cycle. Volunteers will be recognized and receive their award at our annual Volunteer Fair in May. The STEAM for All Volunteer Service Award will strictly follow the award guidelines previously enforced by the PVSA(Presidential Volunteer Service Award), which is currently on pause. For reference:

Volunteers ages 11 to 15 as of April 1, 2026:
- A Bronze Award is earned by completing between 50 and 74 hours of service
- A Silver Award is earned by completing between 75 and 99 hours
- A Gold Award is earned by completing 100 or more hours.
Volunteers ages 16 to 25 as of April 1, 2026
- A Bronze Award is earned by completing between 100 and 174 hours of service
- A Silver Award is earned by completing between 175 and 249 hours
- A Gold Award is earned by completing 250 or more hours

All hours must be completed between 4/1/25 and 3/31/26 with STEAM for All; volunteer hours from other organizations will not be counted.

What hours qualify?

Does Qualify:

Volunteering at an event you signed up for and received confirmation for your role/responsibility.
Attending planning/leadership meetings that you contribute to and prepare for
Sending emails related to event planning/preparation

Does Not Qualify:

Communicating in a STEAM for All group chat
Lack of service or engagement while volunteering.
Failing to follow SFA Volunteer Agreement (Code of Conduct) while volunteering.
Coming to an event without signing up
Signing up to an event but not showing up
Meetings in which you do not contribute any ideas
